This unit is “plug and play.” The disk provided is only for Windows 98 users and also used for the Extended User Guide and SMV Converter software or other users that may need a driver.

Before you get started, please note:
About Adding Music -
All music must be in MP3 format (or other supported formats, although MP3 compression is recommended for optimum space on the player) before it can be transferred to the MP3 player.

About Adding Video - If your MP3 or MP4 player is enabled to run videos, please be sure the videos you add to your player are in the appropriate format (i.e. AVI or SMV). You should consult the user guide for your player to find out what format videos must be in.
When converting to SMV format, use the enclosed disk that came with your unit to convert videos. When you insert the disk, please DO NOT RUN THE AUTO INSTALLER UNLESS YOU ARE USING WINDOWS 98.
